New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority (NRMHA) hosts a press conference to announce their federal stimulus funds disbursement. New Rochelle, NY - New Rochelle Municipal Housing Authority (NRMHA) will reveal its expenditure of $1 Million federal stimulus package at a press conference on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 at 55 Sickles Ave at 11:00AM EST. These funds were distributed through the Federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act 2009, which aims at assisting capital improvement projects. Confirmed attendees include elected officials, community leaders and NRMHA residents. Additionally, New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson will join the NRMHA as a keynote speaker . The focal theme of the press conference is “Reinvestment and Renewal”. ”The stimulus money gives the housing authority the opportunity to reinvest in our aging housing stock,” said Steven Horton, Executive Director of NRMHA. “This investment allows us to renew our commitment to maintaining an affordable housing resource in New Rochelle”. Elisa Singer, NRMHA Chairperson stated, “The Stimulus grant will inject over $1 Million into the local economy while at the same time improving the quality of life for our residents”.
